I would then uninstall the FP. This will happen if either: The Service.lck file is damaged - this can happen if FrontPage shuts down unexpectedly or a network connection terminates incorrectly. But all it might be is the file is corrupted also. To fix that, in Internet Explorer, right-click the starting folder and choose Properties.
