When you try the last trunk SVN miranda32.exe you get also an error about commonheaders.h, include the file /trunk/miranda/src/core/ to your global VS include settings too. i'm sorry but i didn't remember. Color conversion. I mean without loading a BMP file and saving to a JPEG file. It is building all the 66 projects successfully when I debug this for win32, rebuilding is also successful.

Took a day to figure this one out :(, as output log was not very helpful. I want to know if there is some way I can open it with vs2005. In this sample the display is handled using the API-function StretchDIBits. Full source code provided.
There are some special functions You can look for it in http://www.adobe.com/support/forums/ use search... When loading a file, the data is converted internally using the structure BITMAPINFO from the Win32-API (even when it is compiled under linux). From the link... Will there be any problem in the future ? The library compiles OK, and generates the right FreeImage.lib file (about 5 MB if I include the other dependencies like LibJPEG.lib).
