Cannot Start Interbase Server
When I start IB Console and klick on Local Server - gds_db I get the message Cannot start local interbase. it is no big problem. If you fail to do this, you will be obliged to specify the computer name whenever you connect to IB databases via IBX applications. Find all instances of GDS32.DLL on your local machine and make sure to keep only one copy of this file: the one that belongs to your current InterBase version. http://outwardsound.com/cannot-start/cannot-start-mysql-server-5-5.html
I chose 32-bit (but the OS is 64 bit), used the same serial number I was given and again the server doesn't continue running .. On both machines I have IB2009 running on the default port.
You can choose between application mode and service mode for each server independently. For I am but mortal and mortals can only die. Registration file error: use Registration code 977xxxx I tried again and it doesn't log anything in the log file.

- You start and stop either server with the click of a button; if you start a server, DBServerToggler will first halt the other one if it's running.
- I see the same in my install log, and mine starts up fine (developer's edition, not trial, but only difference is license).
- Linux/NET / Leopard4.
- This will typically be C:\Program Files\Interbase corp\Interbase\bin or C:\Program Files\Borland\InterBase\bin.
- The license manager shows that it has been registered.

Was it used previously to connect to a remote Interbase server, and is now replaced by the Interbase client? However, the interbase.log you have presented indicates the error is what I expect - your server is not registered.

I can start the Server with the Windows Service Manager, this works fine.
I can't start the Server with the Server Manager, this failed with "Unable to start the Server". I downloaded and used the 90 day registration for Interbase XE7 trial but the server does not start with the Windows service.
